Our Facilities

Bangalore Analytical Research Center’s capabilities are underpinned by state-of-the-art laboratory facilities and instrumentation. We continually invest in advanced technology and maintain our equipment under strict quality control to deliver precise and reliable results. Our facility includes specialized sections for chemical analysis and microbiological testing, each designed to meet ISO 17025 requirements for testing and calibration. By combining modern instruments with skilled analysts and robust SOPs, we ensure high accuracy, reproducibility, and data integrity in all our test results.

Key Instruments & Infrastructure

Liquid Chromatography–Mass Spectrometry (LC-MS/MS)

Enables ultra-trace analysis of complex samples, such as pesticide residues, pharmaceutical impurities, and contaminants, with high sensitivity and specificity.

Gas Chromatography–Mass Spectrometry (GC-MS/MS)

Used for detecting volatile and semi-volatile compounds (e.g., residual solvents, VOCs, organic pollutants) in environmental, food, and pharma samples with excellent accuracy.

ICP-OES

Inductively Coupled Plasma Optical Emission Spectrometer and Mass Spectrometer for multi-element analysis. These allow rapid detection of trace heavy metals and mineral content in water, food, herbal products, and pharmaceutical samples down to parts-per-billion levels.

High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC)

Multiple HPLC systems with PDA, UV-Vis, and RI detectors for quantitative analysis of ingredients, purity testing, assay of active compounds, and determining related substances in complex mixtures.

Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR)

For identification of organic compounds and functional groups via infrared spectra – useful in material identification, purity checks, and detecting adulteration.

ICP-MS

Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectrometer for multi-element analysis. These allow rapid detection of trace heavy metals and mineral content in water, food, herbal products, and pharmaceutical samples down to parts-per-billion levels.

Microbiology Lab Equipment

Dedicated microbiology suites equipped with laminar flow hoods, incubators at various temperatures, autoclaves for sterilization, and bio-safety cabinets. These controlled environments enable accurate total plate counts, pathogen culturing, sterility testing, and bacterial endotoxin testing under aseptic conditions (crucial for pharma and food safety analyses).

Additional Instruments

UV-Visible spectrophotometers for concentration and purity measurements; dissolution and disintegration test apparatus for pharmaceutical dosage form testing; Karl Fischer titrator for precise moisture content analysis; automatic protein and fat analysis systems for food samples; Gas Chromatographs with FID and headspace samplers for specialized analyses; Ion Chromatography for anion/cation analysis in water and soil; and many other calibrated tools that enhance our analytical range.

Our laboratory information management system (LIMS) and rigorous QA/QC protocols further ensure that every result is traceable and validated. The Facilities at Bangalore Analytical Research Center reflect our commitment to leveraging technology in pursuit of quality – enabling us to tackle simple to complex analytical challenges efficiently and reliably.
